Bruce Dimon and I hit the road this past weekend to attend the BMW Bikers of Metropolitan Washington's Square Route Rally—and despite the near-constant rain, it turned out to be a great time.
The rally, as always, was well organized with a solid mix of planned day rides, great food, and a generous spread of door prizes. This year, two impressive grand prizes were up for grabs: a ZUMO GPS from Bob’s BMW and a set of tires of the winner’s choice from Morton’s BMW. Pretty great motivation to hang around even if the skies weren’t cooperating.
Unfortunately, I didn’t get many photos during the event—rain gear took priority over camera gear—but I did manage to snap one for proof that I was actually there!
All in all, it was a solid rally weekend. Wet? Definitely. Worth it? Absolutely.
